Our team members are located all of the Southeast. We can likely pair you up with a training partner local to you! We also do training camps for our athletes in various areas such as Chattanooga, Kingsport, & Augusta. Check out what some of our athletes have to say about their experience being a part of E3 Tri!

"I met Aaron at the beach when I saw his Ironman tattoo and asked him about it. At the time, I had lost over 100 pounds through diet, but was still lacking overall fitness and searching for “something more." We talked about Ironman and triathlons. His passion for the sport struck me to the core...I knew that I found my “something more."

I couldn’t run more than a mile. Never swam. And hadn’t been on a bike in over 20 years. Why someone like myself would ever think they could do triathlon, I’ll never know. But, I knew that I HAD to. I questioned a lot throughout the process, but I never once questioned Aaron’s ability, desire, and passion to shepherd over my journey.  We are going on two years of working together and I have successfully completed 2 sprints and an Ironman 70.3 event and working towards a full Ironman.

I found even more than my "something more" - I found a friend for life with “Coach” and an incredible community of triathletes through E3!"

Nick P. - Kentucky

"Training under E3 Coach Aaron Whitley has been a life-changing opportunity. With his guidance and support, I have met and exceeded many of my triathlon and life goals. He has helped take me from riding an Olympic distance bike course in 1 gear (because I was too scared to touch my aero bars!) to several 1st place AG sprints, 2018 USAT National Championships, 2019 IM All World Athlete Bronze, and now IRONMAN Certified Coach! I have learned from Aaron that it is so important to work hard in all we do, but it is through service to others that we truly succeed. Helping others achieve their big goals with love, support, and community has profound effects on everyone involved and I am so proud to be a part of this E3 family."

Rachel C. - North Carolina

Coach Jenn takes the time to get to know you as a person and athlete.  She helped me maneuver the technical difficulties of learning triathlon skills even with life events.  Her positive encouraging spirit always celebrated my small or large successes. Learning to road bike was a major hurdle for me but Jenn kept on cheering me with Yes You Can become a TRIATHLETE.  Coach Jenn can get you there and keep you improving.

Janet S. - Alabama

"After 2 years of training on my own and racing Sprint and Olympic triathlons, I set a goal of finishing three IRONMAN 70.3 races in 2019. I decided that hiring a professional coach would give me the best chance of achieving this goal and I was lucky to find Rachel with E3 Tri!  My first race, the IRONMAN Virginia 70.3, was early in the season for a first-timer, and Rachel developed a training program that had me race ready and feeling confident! I was very pleased to finish in the top 20 in my age group!"

Tom B. - Tennessee

"I signed up for my first triathlon, which was an Ironman 70.3 thinking I would be ok to self-coach myself through the training. Boy was I wrong! Since joining the E3 team, my fitness level and speed have drastically improved. I also feel like I gained a whole family. Everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging!"

Jenna G. - Georgia

John has coached me since October of 2015.  I came to him with the goal of finishing an Ironman 70.3 in 2016 and a full Ironman in 2017.  I had lost 60lbs by the time I hired John but I was still over 200lbs which is clinically obese for someone who is 5’4”.  I could barely swim, and barely run.  John has worked with me week by week to build a progression of training that took me across the finish line of Ironman Augusta 70.3 in September of 2016.  I crossed the finish line of Ironman Chattanooga 70.3 in May of 2017 with a 70.3 personal record by over an hour and a half over my Augusta finish.  In September 2017 I crossed the finish line as an Ironman at Ironman Chattanooga.  In 2018 he coached me to 4 top 10 Olympic distance finishes and my first Xterra Off-road Intermediate Distance Triathlon finish.   I could not have achieved these things without a coach that understands balancing triathlon goals with the importance family and career.  John’s very flexible way of getting the highest quality training done within a given athlete’s availability to train is one of his strongest skills.  He’s a highly accomplished athlete himself and has had to juggle the same set of obstacles that face most of us.  His approach of progressive training load and tactical guidance has kept me hitting the start line very healthy and very prepared.  In short, he knows the sport,  and he understands triathlon/life balance.   I also cannot say enough about the support I’ve gotten from my E3Tri teammates both past and present.  Their support, encouragement, and friendship were and continue to be crucial in my triathlon journey.  I highly recommend John Hanna and E3Tri for a multisport athlete of any level!
